Dirk Tavenner is a professional steer wrestler from Rigby, Idaho, with a lifelong passion for rodeo and the western way of life. Raised in a ranching family, he grew up around horses and livestock before earning a rodeo scholarship to New Mexico Highlands University, where he competed at the collegiate level and qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo all four years. Throughout his professional career, Dirk has qualified for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo three times, captured numerous prestigious titles, and set multiple arena records. Off the road, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Courtney, and their daughter, Millie May, while continuing to work on his family's cattle ranch.
